Physis Modeling Piano Technology

Physical modeling is different than “sample-based” technology, instead using advanced mathematical algorithms to reproduce the various physical properties of a given instrument – in this case, the Piano.

Engineers, musicians, and scientists at Italian universities analyzed over 100 physical properties of the traditional acoustic grand piano. These properties were recreated and manipulated through mathematical models.
