Percussion Marketing Council (PMC) will celebrate International Drum Month, May 2021, with an expanded percussion education and national awareness consumer-focused promotion. Through the “Lesson with a Master” entry portal at PlayDrums.com, drummers will be able to enter to win a one-hour online video lesson with their choice of acclaimed celebrity drummers and artists. This year’s instructors include Dave Weckl, Daru Jones, Scott Pellegrom, Tom Brechtlein, Jamey Tate, and Cora Coleman.
“An opportunity to take a Zoom lesson with one of these nationally recognized artists is a great chance to engage drummers from across the country. Pandemic restrictions have made online lessons more common and accessible for all,” explains PMC Executive Director Antoinette Follett. “We are grateful to have these impressive drummers participate in this year’s International Drum Month ‘Lesson with a Master’ campaign.”
The special “Lesson with a Master” promotion is open mid-April through May 31st to anyone 14 years of age and older who’s been playing drums for a minimum of one year. Each artist will also engage participants and attract new entries via social media channels throughout International Drum Month.
