ProMark is thrilled to expand its marching percussion lineup with three exciting stick releases: the highly anticipated BYOS “Scrapes” Signature Marching Drumsticks and the new ProMarkDC PM1 and DC PM1i (Light) models. Designed in close collaboration with marching experts and top educators, these new offerings reflect the brand’s continued commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance, durability, and design for modern drumline players.
Introducing the BYOS “Scrapes” Signature Stick
Designed in partnership with Ralph Nader and Harvey Thompson: the minds behind BYOS, the new “Scrapes” model projects with the sound quality of a tenor mallet plus it has the speed and finesse of a snare stick. That gives the BYOS Scrapes versatility and articulation across a range of marching styles.
The BYOS team says, “Whether you’re a beginner mastering fundamentals or a seasoned performer pushing your creative limits, the Scrapes deliver unmatched control and precision for every playing style.”
By addressing real feedback, they’ve been optimized to meet the challenges of quad performance. These sticks offer a full round nylon bead for maximum articulation, a comfortable taper slightly shorter than a standard snare stick, and a perfectly balanced hickory construction tailored for both chops and trick work.
New ProMark DC PM1 and PM1i
Also launching this July, the DCPM1 and its scaled-down sibling, the DC PM1i, mark the next chapter in ProMark’s marching stick evolution. These drumsticks feature a rounded wood tip shape, long taper, and balanced weight for responsive playability and powerful projection whether you’re on the field or in the arena. The PM1i offers the same profile in a smaller size, ideal for younger performers or indoor environments.
