Sakae Drums recently partnered with The Drum Shop, located in Tulsa’s historical London Square shopping Centre, to treat drum enthusiasts to a private trunk show of Sakae’s lines including the Celestial, Almighty Maple, Trilogy, Road Anew and Pac-D.
A wide range of drummers with various skill levels joined Jeff Shreiner, Sakae Brand and Sales Manager from Korg USA, and Kevin Kline, Korg USA District Sales Manager for the Southcentral Territory, to celebrate the sounds of Sakae.
Celebrated drummer Jamie Oldaker joined the festivities to check out the gear and talk with attendees about his career and history with the Nakata family, founders of Sakae rhythm. Drum Shop Owner Roger Nottestad brought in a private caterer, beverages and giveaways along with support from Evans Drumheds and Meinl Cymbals to really round out the evening.
“The attendees were so appreciative of Oldaker for the decades of inspiration he has provided. The building of a community is critical to the brands we support at the Drum shop,” stated Nottestad. “By hosting and event like this with Sakae and focusing on the interests of the attendees, everyone left happy, informed, and their thirst for a new sense of inspiration quenched. I look forward to hosting more events like this in the future.”
“We love drums, drummers, those who have and love drummers in their family and everything that goes with it. Drums move the spirit and the soul in ways that no other instrument can match,” added Nottestad.
“The Drum Shop pulled in well over 100 people who got hands on with Sakae. It was awesome to interact with so many drummers and gain real time insight into their passions and our products,” shared Shreiner.
