Senseney Music, a leader in supporting music education for over 45 years, will continue to serve the greater Wichita community and beyond under a new name and ownership.
Palen Music Center, a well-established Missouri based company, with over 60 years in business will become the new owner. Palen Music, who invests greatly in music education and embodies a similar mission to Senseney Music, provides multiple support programs to enhance the efforts of the many wonderful music educators in their communities.
For the past 15 years, Senseney Music has been successfully led by industry leader and president, Lori Supinie. With Supinie’s recent passing, Senseney Music will transition to longtime music educator Palen Music Center later this fall.
“Senseney Music and our dedicated staff members will continue to be available to help customers during the transition to Palen Music,” said Andy Supinie. “Lori was an excellent businesswoman and will be missed by many. Through the pending sale her legacy will live on.”
“Lori was a dear friend and industry colleague for many years,” said Eric Matzat, President of Palen Music. “Our hearts go out to her family and the entire Senseney Music team during this difficult time. It is a privilege and honor to carry on the legacy of Lori Supinie and Denny Senseney.”
Senseney Music’s Rent to Learn program is ongoing. Customers will experience the same attention and customer satisfaction as always provided by the music store. The staff at Senseney also wants to thank the community for their continued show of support during this time of mourning. The sale is expected to be completed by November 1, 2023.
Senseney Music has been making a difference with music since 1978, with excellent instrument selection, music lessons, print music and an on-site service department. Senseney Music staff is committed to helping others make music.
