The challenges of today’s crowded RF environment, combined with the pressure to deliver flawless audio for varying productions, has created a demand for wireless solutions that are dependable and straightforward to set up and use. Shure’s SLX-D Digital Wireless System continues the Company’s legacy of exceptional wireless technology. SLX-D offers crystal clear audio quality, reliable RF performance, ease of use and enhanced mechanical designs.

Adding to its list of notable features and benefits, today, Shure announced the addition of free software networking capabilities for SLX-D. Shure’s Wireless Workbench® 6 software and ShurePlus™ Channels iOS app will be compatible with SLX-D later this summer. The software solutions offer the necessary RF management that professionals rely on for critical oversight and control of Shure wireless systems.

Wireless Workbench 6

Easy, simplified frequency coordination and management of networked wireless devices is paramount for a successful production. Shure’s Wireless Workbench 6 software allows audio professionals to discover and automatically connect to all Shure devices on the network for remote monitoring and control. With just a few clicks, users can scan the spectrum, identify open frequencies, and deploy to networked systems.

To ensure an optimal working environment, and smooth production with SLX-D, Wireless Workbench 6 can also help:

  • Establish network parameters and track all devices used in any given production
  • Manage alerts and make adjustments in real-time without interrupting the performance
  • Implement necessary changes to Shure devices remotely from a computer (e.g., naming devices, gain adjustments, IR presets)

ShurePlus Channels App (iOS)

Remote control, mobile access and real-time management, are critical components for a flawless performance—no matter the size or scope of the production. The ShurePlus Channels app gives users optimal control from the palm of their hand, helping them monitor events and make important real-time changes using a mobile device. The easy-to-download iOS app can be connected via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet adapter to automatically discover and manage Shure networked devices. Users are able to precisely monitor RF signal strength, audio levels, and battery life, from their mobile device for on-the-go performance management. Additionally, users can remotely diagnose and adjust critical channel information – ensuring the show goes on as seamlessly as possible.

“SLX-D quickly became a preferred easy-to-use digital wireless system ideal for users in education, Houses of Worship, corporate facilities, live performances, and more. The ability to access stable signals with reliable RF performance, but still provide the scalability needed for different environments, was a huge win for customers,“ said Nick Wood, Senior Wireless Category Director at Shure. “Now, with the addition of these software upgrades, users can instantly improve where and how they are managing performance.”

The SLX-D Digital Wireless System offers everything users need and more—flawless 24-bit digital audio, rock-solid RF that’s easy to set-up, a complete selection of system configurations (single and dual channel options available), and a full complement of microphone selections. Simplified ease-of-use is ideal for moments that matter – in the classroom, Houses of Worship, corporate facilities, the hospitality sector, local governments, and more. Transmitters run on standard AA batteries or the ability to upgrade to a lithium-ion rechargeable battery option with a dual-docking charging station for a complete solution. Easy-to-scale for small assemblies all the way to prominent live events, SLX-D is the state of the art, high-value choice for all production needs.

Wireless Workbench 6 software and ShurePlus Channels iOS app will be available to download for free in Summer 2021. For more information on pricing and availability for the SLX-D Digital Wireless System, visit www.shure.com/slx-d.
