St. Louis Music (SLM) has launched its new Epicor 10 enterprise management software and overhauled hardware systems.
The upgrade took over a year of planning and preparation and will see enhanced speed and communication in all aspects of SLM’s business.

Epicor 10 software is used by a wide variety of manufacturing, distribution and retail companies, from $15 million to $500 million in size. Epicor enables improved management of inventory to enhance fill rates, avoid stock outs, and also allows for the implementation of scan checking in the shipment process to reduce errors. Epicor also improves communication speed between the sales teams and warehouse, and allows greater visibility and tracking in the accounting process.
SLM also completed a full upgrade of network systems, servers and computer hardware to supplement the Epicor 10 implementation. This involved a tremendous amount of work from the IT department (which added two people during the course of the project), and also the entire staff, who worked on the defining of business processes and underwent extensive training over the last three months. SLM’s Epicor 10 system went live May 2nd.
