St. Louis Music has appointed Craig Denny and Patrick Stevenson to new positions in the company.  Patrick Stevenson will become senior vice president of sales, while Craig Denny will take the position of vice president of band.

“It is with great excitement that I am able to announce these promotions,” says SLM CEO Mark Ragin.  “Patrick will be managing our inside and outside sales team, as well as the major national accounts, and Craig will be responsible for all aspects of the band division.”

Patrick Stevenson has an extensive background in the industry, with expertise that ranges from design and brand management to sales and advertising programs.  As Senior Vice President he will be personally visiting key dealers and travelling with the outside sales team, a face-to-face approach that will shift business to more profitable products and customers.  Of his new position, Stevenson says, “We are very excited about the future of our company and our ability to meet the needs of music retailers in all channels.”

Craig Denny also expressed great optimism about his new responsibilities.  “Being a part of the team at St. Louis Music is a thrill each and every day,” he says.  “We work hard and we have fun doing it; that is a synergy which is tough to achieve even in the best companies.”

Denny, himself a virtuoso musician, has been with St. Louis Music since 2010, and is an established educator, manager and professional.  As Vice President of Band, he will be enhancing the Zonda and P. Mauriat brands and adding exciting new instruments and accessories to the many lines under his care.  Denny continues, “I am extremely fortunate and grateful for the continued opportunity to be a part of a truly special company.”

SLM has long had a reputation for integrity, service and strong partnership.  A key factor in that success has been the consistent appointment of excellent representatives, a quality echoed by CEO Mark Ragin’s confidence in his new VPs.  “2014 will be a challenging year, and for SLM, it will be a year of action!” He says.   “Please join me in congratulating Patrick and Craig, and supporting them in the important work ahead.”
