For 2023, TAMA has announced the addition of a new, limited-edition finish to its Starclassic Performer series. The new color is called Crimson Red Waterfall and as the name implies, the finish is a bold blend of multiple rich shades of red, which affords the kit an intriguing, high-end appearance. This look is further enhanced by the fact the finish is hand applied to each shell by a highly skilled painter, meaning no two shells look the same. Another central feature of this kit’s aesthetic is Black Nickle shell hardware, adding an additional layer of sophistication to this limited-edition color scheme. Beyond its unique visual elements, this kit features all of the popular and well-known features of the Starclassic Performer series. These include 6mm, 4ply Birch + 2 inner ply Maple tom shells, a 7mm, 5ply Birch + 2 inner ply Maple bass drum shell, Die-Cast hoops, and the Star-Cast Mounting System. The kit itself will be limited to 100 total units in North America and the snare drum (sold separately) will be limited to 200 total pieces in North America.
