Making its triumphant return, Jackson signals the launch of the American Series Soloist SL2 DX. First introduced in 2022 with its iconic tagline, “Fast As F#*!” The American Series Soloist SL2 DX establishes a new standard in premium high-performance guitars inspiring players across the globe. Crafted for the next generation of heavy metal guitarists, this American-made electric guitar excels in speed and performance. With, “Speed, Power, and Precision”, The American Series Soloist SL2 DX gives today’s heavy players everything they need to push their craft further.

“The release of the Jackson American Series Soloist SL2 DX continues our commitment to delivering high quality made in USA guitars that players are craving. With features like a neck-through-body design, stainless steel frets, Seymour Duncan pickups, and premium hardware, this guitar is built for speed, tone, and reliability – everything a serious shredder demands,” said Jon Romanowski, VP of Product of Jackson Guitars. “For fans of fast, aggressive playing, this is a game-changer.”

With the American Series Soloist SL2 DX’S, the quality is unmatched due to its three-piece maple neck which has a pair of graphite-reinforcement rods for the ultimate stability to resist temperature and humidity induced warping. This American-made guitar hosts 24 jumbo stainless steel frets and inverse mother of pearl sharkfin inlays. Designed for highly technical lightspeed playing and bending with its curved nut, the 12”-16” compound radius rolled ebony fingerboard flattens out up the neck, ensuring no fretting out. Additionally, the HH pickup configuration features a Seymour Duncan® JB™ TB-4 humbucking bridge pickup that roars with high performance and a thunderous low end. All while, the Seymour Duncan ‘59™SH-1N neck pickup delivers sparkling treble and smooth, scooped mids, making it a perfect fit for any heavy style.

Made from start to finish in Fender’s Corona, California Factory, the American Series Soloist SL2 DX has uniquely exceptional features. The Luminlay® glow-in-the-dark side dots provide fingerboard guidance on the darkest stages. The heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel allows for quick neck relief tweaks on the fly. This guitar features an intuitive control layout which consists of a five-way blade switch, and dome-style knobs for volume and tone, ultimately allowing artists to harness sonic horsepower with a versatile five-way blade pickup switch and single volume and tone controls.

The American Series Soloist SL2 DX is available in two models: the SL2 DX HT and SL2 DX. The American Series Soloist SL2 DX HT features a Hipshot hardtail bridge and comes in striking Satin Black and Satin Porsche Gray finishes with color matched Jackson pointy headstocks and black hardware, offering superior reliability and performance. The American Series Soloist SL2 DX features Floyd Rose 1500 Series double-locking tremolo bridge system for reliable tuning stability throughout daring and aggressive playing. This model comes in striking Satin Black, Lemon Ice and Snow White finishes with color matched Jackson pointy headstocks and black hardware.

Joining forces with Jackson for the release of their highly anticipated series, UK-based band, Pest Control, unveils the American Series Soloist SL2 DX in a new exciting video. Formed during the COVID pandemic, Pest Control is a British crossover thrash band that recently dropped a new EP titled, “Year of the Pest.” The five-member group just announced they’re joining Obituary’s Celebrating 35 Years of Cause of Death Tour in the United States alongside the bands Spiritworld, Nails, and Terror.

Blending the warmth of a usual living room jam session with the raw intensity of hardcore-punk, Pest Control celebrates the launch of the American Series Soloist SL2 DX while honoring the rich traditions of the genre. Born from communities of musicians who forged their sound wherever they could – whether in basements, living rooms, or garages – heavy music has evolved through innovation and experimentation, giving rise to diverse sub-genres. Designed with the next generation of heavy metal guitarists in mind, this American-made electric guitar offers unmatched speed, precision, and power, embodying the relentless energy that defines metal.
