Strengthening its worldwide sales organization for a new decade of growth and expansion across all product categories, JAM U.S. Music Group today announced the promotion of industry veteran James Tsaptsinos to the position of Vice President of Global Sales.
According to JAM U.S. Music Group President Mark Terry, Tsaptsinos will continue to serve as Vice President of Sales for KMC Music. He will be assisted in his new position by Willem van Keulen, who joins the company as European Sales Manager, based in Hengelo, The Netherlands.
“James has contributed significantly to the growth of KMC Music over the seven years he has been with the company,” Terry said today. “His understanding of the market and what the customer needs to succeed is second to none. He brings a global perspective to the MI business that will serve him well in his new position with the JAM U.S. Music Group.
“And from his base in The Netherlands,” Terry continued, “Willem will support our regional distribution partners with their local market sales and business development programs. James and Willem make a terrific team that will benefit our customers around the world.”
In assuming his new position at JAM, Tsaptsinos noted that, “Thanks to the commitment and support of JAM and our senior leadership team, we are strategically positioned to grow its global footprint in 2020 and beyond. I look forward to working closely with our U.S. and international partners in creating exciting, profitable programs for our resellers and our distributors.”
Before joining KMC in 2012, James Tsaptsinos was Vice President of Sales at Samson Technologies from 2007 to 2012. Before this he served as Director of Sales at Casio from 2003 to 2007. He first broke into retail in 1998 as a Guitar Center store manager.
Willem van Keulen joins JAM U.S. Music Group most recently from Samson Audio, where he headed European Sales. He brings nearly 25 years of industry experience to his new position at JAM, having served in sales and sales management positions at companies that include Mackie Designs Deutschland, Loud Technologies, Numark, Montarbo, and Eko Music Group Spa, among others.
