‘Turn the Beat Around, A Drummer’s Guide to Playing “Backbeats” on 1 & 3’

Alfred Music has released Paul Wertico’s Turn the Beat Around, A Drummer’s Guide to Playing “Backbeats” on 1 & 3, a book that examines “backbeats” in a new light.

The book provides drummers with innovative ways of expanding groove vocabulary, solidifying time, and mastering coordination and limb independence.  In the book, Wertico names these reversed beats frontbeats.
