It’s not often there’s crossover between motorsport and guitars, but guitar fans are being given the chance to bid for a unique custom-made electric guitar, signed by MotoGP World Champion, Marc Marquez.
The guitar, which is styled in Repsol Honda colours and was handmade and donated by luthier David Aura, will be auctioned by Marquez to raise money for UK charity and social enterprise, Riders for Health.
The auction will take place ahead of the British MotoGP weekend on Thursday 27th August at Silverstone Circuit as part of Riders for Health’s Day of Champions event.
The guitar has a hand-carved basswood body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and Seymour Duncan pickups.
Day of Champions is Riders for Health’s annual fundraising event and one of the highlights of the MotoGP calendar. Tickets for the entertainment zone, which includes access to the auction, live music, quizzes and stunt displays, cost just £15 and are free for children under 15.
To attend and have a chance to bid on the guitar and other MotoGP memorabilia, visit www.silverstone.co.uk or call 0844 3750 740.
