In December 2015, Vandoren officially introduced the new V21 saxophone reeds to the U.S.
Receptions were held at Lincoln Center and the brand new Los Angeles Vandoren Musician’s Advisory Studio to celebrate the launch. Top artists were in attendance to try the new reed.
“The V21 for saxophone is a game-changer,” said New York based saxophonist, Allen Won. “Not only do they sound great, but each played immediately right out of the box!”
After experiencing the success of the V21 Bb Clarinet reed, Vandoren has expanded the line to include alto and tenor saxophone as well. Utilizing a unique conical design, the V21 provides players with a beautifully dark, focused sound with an easy yet full-bodied response in all registers, including altissimo. These qualities make it the perfect reed for students and professionals currently on Traditional reeds that are searching for even more depth and warmth in their sound without sacrificing reed-response.
