VOX Amplification partnered with Brooklyn independent music store Main Drag Music to host a Tiny Amp Concert.
The event, which was a night dedicated to the new VOX MV50 series, introduced guests to the MV50 amp line and the new vacuum tube called Nutube, which is embedded in the MV50 series.
“At Main Drag Music, we’ve sold and serviced a lot of amps over the years and no product has blown me away like the new VOX MV50 line,” says Karl Myers, owner of Main Drag Music.
Jessica Ackerley, Overlake and Sic Tic performed at the showcase, and all of the artists used one of the MV50 amps in their set: the MV50 AC, MV50 Clean and MV50 Rock.
“50 watts of real amp tone in a chassis smaller than most boutique pedals! The NuTube’s really react organically – and our proplayers are snatching them up. This technology is going to change the amplifier landscape,” Myers says. “It was a real pleasure to assist Main Drag Music with their VOX MV50 event,” says John Stippell, product manager for Guitar Brands at Korg USA. “Being able to hear the MV50 Series amps turned up loud in a live band setting with a full drum kit and bass rig was the best way I can think of to demonstrate what these little amps can do.”
