A storied publisher with a strong tradition, Kendor Music Publishing moves forward in releasing 23 String Orchestra works for 2025-2026. Six composers new to the publisher’s String Orchestra roster join veteran voices in carrying forward the Kendor Music Publishing legacy. The new catalog features original and arranged pieces ranging in accessibility from Grades 0.5 through 5, carefully selected to suit performance occasions such as fall and spring concerts, holiday concerts, and contest and festival occasions.

With an interactive online component to streamline easy and thorough selection, orchestra directors can access free professional recordings and full ScoreVideos, as well as the new easy-to-access digital program notes for each new piece of music, a time-saving resource allowing directors to easily copy and paste into concert programs.  Professional recordings of the new music are streaming on all major platforms and the publisher’s website. All of these resources can also be used as tools for classroom instruction.

“I’m proud of the overall breadth of this collection of music, which contains everything from beginner-appropriate pieces using just 6 notes, to challenging transcriptions of classic works and energetic original compositions,” says Blair Bielawski, Instrumental Music Editor. “This music is educationally sound and pedagogically robust, as well as engaging for student musicians to play, and moving for listeners.”

The publisher’s 2025-2026 String Orchestra music release features works from composers who are new to the publisher’s catalog, including Peter Sciaino, John M. Pasternak, Dión Morales, Emily Golan, Aaron Fryklund, and Jay Coles. Also featured are works by returning composers Doug Spata, Steven L. Rosenhaus, Steve Parsons, Caryn Wiegand Neidhold, Deborah Baker Monday, David Hinds, Susan H. Day, Peter Blair, Matt Arnett, and Tyler Arcari

The scores in this collection are thoughtfully edited and engraved with ease of reading and accessibility at the forefront. Optional bowings are provided with each piece to encourage pedagogical integrity from the first read. The catalog is organized with the following color-coded series names: Early (.5), Accent (1), Breakthrough (1.5), Voyager (2-2.5), Concert (3-3.5), and Symphonic (4 and up). These categories delineate grade levels, helping directors select the most appropriate music for their ensembles.

Kendor Music Publishing’s 2025-2026 String Orchestra music is available from music retailers and the publisher. Full sets range in price from $45 to $70 retail, each.
