Latin Percussion (LP®) introduces the redesigned Cyclops II Convertible Tambourine, the ultimate in mounted and handheld playability.
The classic ‘eye-shape’ frame of the new Cyclops II Convertible Tambourine is constructed using high-density, specially formulated plastic. It features a double row of 14 steel jingles for a bright, high-pitched, and piercing sound with a patented pinning system to ensure they stay in place.
The new Cyclops II Convertible Tambourine has an ergonomic, durable, and ridged silicone handle. The new, softer handle reduces hand fatigue during long playing sessions with its excellent vibration-damping properties. Plus, the ridges provide a consistent, more stable, high-tack grip. Silicone is moisture-resistant and will not absorb sweat or odours, making it easier to keep clean and therefore more hygienic.
The new ‘H’ mount with integrated post allows the Cyclops II Convertible Tambourine to transition quickly from hand to stick playing. The distinctive mount allows players to simply slide the tambourine onto the integrated posts. Designed for playability, the Cyclops II Convertible Tambourine features an integrated ‘Strike-Zone’ to reduce stick noise and deliver a warmer sound.
The iconic, compact design of the Cyclops Tambourine has always symbolised LP’s tireless rhythmic and innovative spirit. The redesigned model pairs the best features of the classic model with modern engineering for improved performance.
