Short on room? Need to take the gear on the road? Thanks to its space-saving design, the CDJ-1500X fits into smaller DJ booths and a wide range of setups. It comes with all the practical benefits of using separate players too, such as easy maintenance and replacement. Built-in Wi-Fi opens the door for users to access their cloud-based music library via rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, so users can go beyond USB drives and always DJ with their latest collection. And this is the first player to be compatible with CoBeat, an exciting new service offering a fresh optional way to interact with the crowd and receive song requests directly on the screen of the CDJ.

Compact design fits in smaller DJ booths
Designed with compact DJ booths in mind, the CDJ-1500X is ideal for bars, small clubs, and home setups. While it includes many key features of the flagship CDJ-3000X, the new multi player has a significantly smaller footprint. This makes it easy to fit the multi player into tighter spaces and combine it with turntables and other gear to create a custom setup.
10.1-inch touchscreen and enhanced track visualization
The CDJ-1500X includes the 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen from the flagship CDJ-3000X, enabling smooth track selection and intuitive performances.
The browse screen displays up to 15 tracks at once so DJs can view more music in a single list and quickly find their next track. And waveform previews help users understand the music’s structure at a glance, so, they can easily choose tracks that match the flow of their set.
The main waveform display now includes visual indicators for vocal positions, BPM change points, and phrase structures. This helps DJs easily understand each song’s progression and feel more confident when making decisions about mixing during their performances.
Using Playlist Edit, DJs can rearrange tracks within playlists directly on the CDJ – there’s no need to switch back to their laptop/mobile device, or re-export tracks to their USB drive.
With a choice of dark and light display modes, the information on the screen stays highly visible no matter where DJs are playing – from low-lit DJ booths in clubs to bright rooms or even daytime outdoor events.
Cloud connectivity and NFC login
Access cloud-based rekordbox library and millions of tracks from streaming services, directly from the CDJ-1500X. With built-in Wi-Fi, DJs can play their tracks via rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, as well as songs from platforms such as Apple Music, Beatport Streaming, and Tidal using the StreamingDirectPlay function.
DJs can instantly access their personal settings and playlists via NFC touch login by tapping their mobile device – with rekordbox for iOS/Android installed – on the CDJ. This, together with cloud connectivity, means that DJs can arrive at a gig with just their smartphone and start performing immediately from their own music library.
New CoBeat service enhances crowd interaction and unity on the dancefloor
Want to interact with the crowd more and bring the dancefloor together? The CDJ-1500X is the first AlphaTheta multi player that’s compatible with the new CoBeat service, which helps the audience feel more involved in the performance.
By scanning a QR code (created by the DJ or the venue in advance), CoBeat provides an opportunity for the audience to browse a catalog of tracks they’ve already chosen. They can vote for DJs to play these tracks or send them a message to request other songs. All this information is gathered on the CDJ-1500X, where requests are displayed on the browse screen, ready for DJs to drop into their set and create a shared experience with the audience. People can also add emojis to each other’s requests to share the energy of the dancefloor in real time. These reactions appear as pop-ups on the DJ’s smartphone screen, helping them to sense the crowd’s response while performing.
DJs can turn CoBeat on whenever they want to receive requests and turn it off if they prefer to just focus on their mix.

Customizable design that blends into any space
With its minimalistic user interface and matte black finish, the CDJ-1500X blends seamlessly into any setup or space. In the front panel, an illuminated bay with 2 USB ports (1 x Type-C, 1 x Type-A), makes it easy to connect USB drives and keeps them neatly stowed away so they can’t be accidentally knocked out of place while users are performing or if the booth is crowded. DJs can choose from 12 colors for the LED lighting to match the mood of their gig. And, thanks to the screw holes on the sides of the multi player, DJs can add optional panels (WSP-1500X) to customize the look of their CDJ-1500X.
