PRS Guitars announced the Custom 24 Birds of a Feather Limited Edition, built as part of the Core series. Limited to 350 pieces worldwide, the guitar features the PRS Birds of a Feather inlay, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The inlay was previously available only through Private Stock.
The distinctive interpretation of PRS’s iconic bird inlays was designed by Paul Miles, now Director of Manufacturing and head of Private Stock.
Very often, Private Stock is an incubator for what we can do on Core. This helps our production line grow and learn new techniques that we would usually save for custom builds. We have passed down colors, processes, and inlay to offer more options for dealers who are looking for custom work, making the Core series a branch of the Private Stock shop, Miles said.
The Custom 24 Birds of a Feather Limited Edition retains everything players love about the Custom 24 model: a figured maple top, mahogany back, 25-inch scale length, and PRS DMO pickups. The Pattern Thin mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard offer a fast, familiar feel, while PRS Phase III locking tuners and the patented Gen III tremolo provide tuning stability and resonance.
More than a commemorative instrument, the Custom 24 Birds of a Feather Limited Edition is a celebration of craftsmanship, identity, and the enduring spirit of the guitar that started it all.
The model is available in Blood Red, Charcoal Microburst, and Honey Gold.
