Excelcia Music Publishing, the distributor of Pinkzebra’s music, is excited to announce the release of four new musical works by the popular composer. The release includes an original Choral work (I’ll Know It’s Christmas) and a Choral arrangement (O Come, O Come, Emmanuel), a work for Concert Band (Real Life Heroes), and an arrangement for Jazz Ensemble (Deck the Halls). Online recordings and preview scores are available on Excelcia Music Publishing’s website. As with all of Pinkzebra’s music, these new works have been handcrafted to add energy and engagement to concerts throughout the year. New music for Christmas and Holiday are well-represented, and Real Life Heroes for Concert Band is a thematic work well suited to occasions such as Veteran’s Day and Spring concerts.
“What binds all of these works together is a desire for audiences and musicians to feel something positive together,” says composer Pinkzebra. “That is why I particularly love creating music for December concerts. There are so many wonderful feelings and memories connected to that season that can be conveyed through music. It’s my favorite time of the year!”
The two new Choral songs are O Come, O Come, Emmanuel and I’ll Know It’s Christmas, both of which are arranged for SATB, SAB, SSA, and Two-Part. O Come, O Come, Emmanuel is a moody, churning arrangement of the beloved classic carol, created to captivate audiences with intriguing rhythmic layers and a sweeping sense of atmosphere. I’ll Know It’s Christmas is a tender and affirming song about finding the holiday spirit when changes that come along in life may disrupt usual traditions. Both new Choral releases feature the option to purchase Accompaniment MP3s, Multi-user Part Dominant Practice Tracks, and Virtual Choir Bundles.
Real Life Heroes for Concert Band is a strong and dramatic Grade 3 work that celebrates the people we admire. Appropriate to program as a ‘thank you’ to teachers, parents, upstanding community members, and other “Real Life Heroes,” this work is suitable for general concerts, patriotic occasions, graduations, and more.
Deck the Halls, a Grade 3 arrangement for Jazz Ensemble, is a quick-to-learn crowd-pleaser that will add joy to any Christmas or holiday concert. A free jazz solo practice track is available for this arrangement and features the full band heard in the demo recording during the solo section, minus the soloist.
All works have freely accessible recordings, as well as digital preview scores that can be used for music selection and teaching.
These new releases by Pinkzebra are available from music retailers, and from Excelcia Music Publishing- Choral and Concert Band/Jazz Ensemble.
