On August 25 and 26, D’Addario representatives were backstage at the AFROPUNK festival, sampling product, signing up Players Circle members and talking to the artist community about D’Addario and the D’Addario Foundation.
In addition to giving out swag from the D’Addario branded tent, representatives from Sam Ash were on hand providing guitar restringing and cleaning and drumhead setups and tuning.
D’Addario’s presence at the festival was part of the partnership with AFROPUNK’s Brooklyn Battle of the Bands “Powered by D’Addario” event, where Jules & the Jinks won the opportunity to play the festival and took home custom D’Addario gear, a SJC snare drum, a Marshall amp, and a D’Angelico guitar.
D’Addario was proud to work with representatives from New York retailer Sam Ash to help out the various bands members from, Blac Rabbit, Fantastic Negrito, Nova Twins, Power Jam, Jules & the Jinks and many more. By helping to restring and tune, D’Addario and Sam Ash truly powered these musicians and optimized their performance on the AFROPUNK stage.
