Gig Gear Expands Distribution to Israel with Backstage Music Home LLC

Christian Wissmuller • MMR Global • February 5, 2020

Gig Gear LLC — maker of accessories designed specifically for music and audio production pros as well as all other live event and entertainment production professionals — has named Backstage Music Home LLC its exclusive Israel distributor, effective immediately.

Headquartered in Petah Tikva, Israel, just outside of Tel Aviv, Backstage Music Home LLC has completed a wide range of AV installations from concert halls to sporting venues as well as distributes some of the industry’s leading brands, including Aviom and d & b Audio Technology. Gig Gear Founder Danny Shatzkes said he is honored that Gig Gear is now among those brands.

“We’re extremely happy and proud to be working with Backstage Music to distribute our products throughout Israel,” Shatzkes said. “While it may be small on a map, Israel’s growth in areas of entertainment, production, AV and technology is getting larger every year. We’re happy to have such a great partner as Backstage to make sure our products are on the ground in Israel as this growth takes place. Our accessory products fully complement the lines that Backstage already distributes making this partnership a great match. Gig Gear looks forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Backstage Music Home.”

Rafi Bensimhon of Backstage Music Home LLC said he chose to partner with Gig Gear because of the company’s high-quality and innovative product offerings.

“Gig Gear produces accessories for AV and pro-audio professionals that are not only comfortable, but also help make their jobs easier and safer,” Bensimhon said. “They really think outside of the box, and we are excited to distribute their products across Israel.”

Featuring strong nylon threading throughout, Gig Gear’s line of Gig Gloves boast TPR molding on the back of the hand and fingers to ensure ultimate protection against impact, abrasions or pinching. Fold-over fingertips allow for use of smaller tools and items, and Gig Gloves work with touchscreen devices without needing to remove the gloves. They are available in three models: Original Gig Gloves, all-black Gig Gloves ONYX and fleece-lined THERMO Gig Gloves and come in 6 sizes (XS-XXL).

Gig Gear’s Two Hand Touch is a wearable iPad and tablet harness that secures to the chest, leaving both hands free to interface with remote mixing or any other apps necessary during live production. It allows for use of multi-touch features in apps and provides users with the ability to mix with both hands, just like on a real board.
