Music & Arts Acquires Kerr’s Music World

Music & Arts has announced their entry into West Virginia with the acquisition of both locations of local mainstay Kerr’s Music World. Now open under the Music & Arts name, both locations will continue to uphold the legacy of Kerr’s Music World in the community while also providing additional services to long-time customers and new students.

The new locations offer rentals, repairs and sales of a wide assortment of band and orchestral instruments plus piano, guitar, drums, and more. The Charleston location also features a robust private and group lesson program. Both locations serve school music programs throughout nearby counties as well. The locations are:

Customers will recognize the familiar faces of several Kerr’s Music World team members who will remain with Music & Arts to continue to serve Charleston and the surrounding South Charleston, Cross Lanes, Saint Albans, Hillsdale, Malden and Davis Creek communities.

Several Kerr’s Music World team members will continue to serve Huntington and the surrounding communities of Ceredo, Altizer, Pea Ridge as well as Chesapeake and Proctorville in Ohio.

“We are thrilled to bring our top-notch music services to West Virginia and continue to serve the families and customers in the Huntington and Charleston communities with the level of customer service they expect,” notes Music & Arts VP sales Chris Stone.

Now in its 67th year, Music & Arts is comprised of more than 200 retail stores, more than 140 educational representatives, and over 500 retail and affiliate locations. In addition to carrying a wide assortment of top-name brands, most locations offer expert repairs and university-trained lesson instructors.
