On Tuesday, March 20, D’Addario Performance Series artist and flamenco-style guitarist, Grisha Goryachev, will be preceding his New York debut at the Sheen Center with a visit to Internal Creations, a classical guitar program located in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn that empowers youth through music education while providing a safe, nurturing, family-based learning environment.
Students will have the special opportunity to hear Grisha perform in a familiar setting, play alongside him, and gain valuable advice on the instrument that they have in common. This event is free and open to the public.
The D’Addario Foundation has been a proud supporter of Internal Creations and its strong impact on the students it serves for the past two years.
“With the help of the D’Addario Foundation we have been able to cultivate independent leaders and spark a love for music and life in our students while providing the opportunity to get ‘at risk’ youth into accredited 4 year universities for music,” said Jahzeel Montes, executive director of the program. “Thank you D’Addario for giving the opportunity of positive change to the youth in our New York City communities, we are forever grateful for your support.”
