JodyJazz, Inc. has announced the introduction of the new Band Director Section Kits for both their JodyJazz® and Rousseau® mouthpiece ranges. The Band Director Section Kits offer specially selected sets of mouthpieces which are designed to enable Band Directors to take their sax sections to the next level. There are two kit options available for Jazz Band featuring JodyJazz mouthpieces and one kit for Concert Band sax section featuring the company’s line of Rousseau classical mouthpieces. Each kit includes 2 x Alto, 2 x Tenor and 1 x Baritone mouthpiece.
The JodyJazz Band Director Section Kits feature mouthpieces from their very popular HR* Series and are available in ‘Basic’ and ‘Advanced’ configurations. The ‘Basic’ kit consists of HR* Alto 5M & 6M, HR* Tenor 5* & 6*, and HR* Baritone 6. The ‘Advanced’ kit consists of HR* Alto 6M & 7M, HR* Tenor 6* & 7*, and HR* Baritone 7 which are larger tip openings for stronger players. The JodyJazz kits each include ligatures and caps at no additional charge. The kits also include a QR code link to the new JodyJazz Band Director Resources page where Band Directors can find a wealth of helpful educational articles and videos. The company states that these kits will result in a more confident, engaged, and vibrant saxophone section.
The Rousseau Band Director Section Kit features mouthpieces from the Rousseau Classic R Series which offer a beautiful, warm sound with great response and control. The kit consists of 2 x Classic R Alto 4R, 2 x Classic R Tenor 4R, and 1 x Classic R Baritone 5R. Ligature and cap for the Baritone are also included. These specially selected mouthpieces will result in a more homogenous saxophone section that blends beautifully with the ensemble. The Rousseau kit also includes a QR code link to the new Rousseau Band Director Resources page where Band Directors can find a wide selection of educational resources.
All JodyJazz and Rousseau mouthpieces are individually hand-finished and play-tested to the strictest quality standards and with the highest possible attention to detail.
