<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Event Staff</strong> are responsible for providing logistical and operational support to assigned Heritage Festival events. Event Staff assist the Event Host in ensuring that the entire event runs smoothly, ensuring adherence to the schedule by adjudicators and program participants, ensuring all logistical components are being executed as directed, and ensuring a high-quality experience for all event participants. Event Staff work directly with the Event Host, event participants, and adjudicators to ensure a successful event. Event Staff report to the Event Host.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Support the oversight of event components and act quickly to resolve problems</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Adhere to event safety standards; implement and execute all policies and procedures</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Perform any operational tasks as directed</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist with on-site set-up and breakdown of event space and A/V</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist with inventory, set-up, packing, and shipping of event materials</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist with ensuring on-time execution of event schedule, supporting with the oversight of group movement from warm up location to main performance location</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Coordinate with adjudicators to ensure accurate scoring and timing of participant groups</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Keep adjudicators informed of any schedule adjustments</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist with the logistics of final scoring and recordings, in preparation for awards ceremony</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ensure excellent customer service to all event participants, adjudicators, and vendors</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Inspect equipment for damage after use and check it against an inventory list; pack up equipment at end of event</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Serve in various support roles and perform other duties as directed by the event host</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Event management experience (preferred)</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Work effectively in a service-oriented environment.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong logistical and organizational skills</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to work in a high pace environment</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Able to handle stress and remain calm</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and other event staff members</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Travel to event locations over holidays and weekends</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Able to work a flexible schedule. This may include early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, extended (long) workdays, and multiple days in a row.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Organized and detail oriented with ability to prioritize, work on multiple projects simultaneously, exercise good judgment and solve problems</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Excellent customer service skills</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to work efficiently in a team environment</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Physically able to fulfill responsibilities associated with event execution. Festivals require physical exertion including climbing stairs, lifting, long hours on your feet and walking, and exposure to weather (hot or cold).</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Able to maintain a professional decorum when faced with conflict or issues while interacting with our customers</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Are high energy, flexible, and able to work extended event hours.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Reside at the event location.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Can complete a mandatory training program prior to working first event.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Can pass a mandatory background check.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Are eligible for work in the United States.</span></li>
