Staff Accountant – Royalty & Family Office Accounting Reports to : Audit and Financial Manager Location : Pooler, Georgia Type : Full Time Position Summary We are a family-owned musical instrument Royalty, Audit and Accounting Office seeking a dependable Staff Accountant to support daily financial operations. This role is responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and banking activities, with direct involvement in royalt- related accounting. This is a hands-on position for someone who is accurate, organized, and takes ownership of keeping the books clean and current. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable (A/R) Process and post customer payments, royalties, rents received and other incoming funds. Prepare and issue invoices and royalty requests as required. Monitor receivable balances and royalty payments. Collect past due accounts. Reconcile A/R subledger for the General Ledger. Monitor insurance policies for renters. Request renewals on policies before expiration. Accounts Payable (A/P) Enter and process vendor invoices and all operating expenses. Prepare check runs and monitor electronic payments. Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and documents for audit purposes. Reconcile A/P activity and ensure all expenses are coded correctly. Bank & Cash Management Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Monitor account balances, deposits, wire transfers and A C H activity. Maintain daily cash balances and report weekly to management. Maintain organized support for all cash activity. Royalty & Audit Support Assist with royalty accounting entries and payment tracking. Prepare monthly royalty reports for management. Maintain documentation supporting royalty income/sales. Assist with royalty auditing. Support month-end close activities as assigned. Qualifications College degree or associate’s in accounting. Three + years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related role. Solid experience with A/R, A/P, bank reconciliations, and month-end closings. Proficient with software Excel and Word. Experience with a custom platform software. An expert in detail. Comfortable working in a family-owned, multi-entity environment. Personal Attributes Reliable, organized, and very accurate. Professional communication skills. Feels comfortable giving oral presentations. Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. High level of discretion and integrity. 2. Demonstrated skill in formulating policy and developing and implementing new programs and procedures. Demonstrated skills in accounting software and Microsoft Office. Ability to develop a budget and financial plan and manage financial resources. Professional writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of personalities, worldwide. Strong organizational and computer skills. Must be self directed, self-motivated, and capable of achieving results with minimal supervision. Able to work standard business hours (45-50 hours per week) at Gretsch Family Office World Headquarters in Pooler, Georgia. Approximately 10% (24 overnights per year) travel required including designated trade shows and special meetings and overseas travel.
