This dynamic role involves testing, diagnosing, repairing, and reporting on digital and analogue sub-assemblies and consoles, ensuring every product meets SSL's exacting customer specifications. The position requires a strong digital focus, with proficiency in analogue systems also essential. Key Responsibilities: Testing — Test new sub-assemblies to demanding schedules while adhering to strict quality standards. Repair — Diagnose and repair field returns in line with Service Level Agreements. Development — Contribute to production test documentation and improve automated test solutions. Analysis & Reporting — Analyse test results, generate detailed reports, and communicate findings and potential solutions to Production, QA and Engineering teams. Record-Keeping — Maintain accurate records of test activities, ensuring compliance with reporting procedures. Problem-Solving — Prioritise tasks effectively and apply logical analysis to complex problems. Key qualifications and capabilities: Strong understanding of digital electronics and analogue circuit theory. Experience with PCB sub-assemblies — testing and repair. Knowledge of microprocessor-based systems is desirable but not essential. Strong SMT rework skills. Experience or a keen interest in technology and audio mixing. Familiarity with basic PC applications (Windows, Word, Excel/Google Sheets). A graduate-level engineering background is beneficial, though not mandatory. An interest or hobby in electronics, PC building, or IT networking. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose analogue and digital audio processing circuitry.
