Pianists Francisco and Mireille Silva, owners of the Atlanta-area Silva Music Studios, recently launched a series of sold-out live performances at the Brunswick Actors’ Theatre/Gallery in historic coastal Brunswick, GA, featuring the Kayserburg KA212, the 7’ Artists Series Semi-Concert Grand Piano. Created for intimate performances and smaller concert halls, the KA212 features Röslau wire, copper wound bass strings, Renner hammers and action, Dehonit pin block, ebony sharps, a Strunz solid tapered soundboard, and a Laukhuff keyboard.
The first concert held this past July was highlighted with well-known works, such as Bach’s Prelude from Cello Suite No. 1, Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, as well as works by Chopin and Rachmaninoff. The Silva’s son, Dorian, accompanied his parents on cello for the event.
“The goal of these ‘Prelude Series’ concerts is to engage the community and to establish an ongoing classical music festival in downtown Brunswick,” said Mireille Silva. “As these concerts grow, we hope to bring in acclaimed guest artists and develop programs for the area youth.”
Helping launch the series was the premier sponsor, Kayserburg Pianos of the Pearl River Piano Group, which supplied the Kayserburg KA212 for the duration of the event and the upcoming performance season. According to Leng Tshua, Pearl River Piano Group’s Global Sales and Marketing Director, the praise that Kayserburg has been receiving from professional artists has led to seeing the brand on an ever-expanding number of performance stages and in recording studios.
“The Silva family has been incredible ambassadors for Kayserburg, not only in their performances but also in their teaching studio,” Tshua said. “Recently, Francisco Silva has begun recording the entire cycle of Beethoven’s 32 Piano Sonatas at Silva Music Studios on the only Kayserburg KA275 9’ Concert Grand in America.” Handmade from 8,000 perfectly matched components by guild system artisans, the flagship KA275 is considered the ultimate expression of exceptional German craftsmanship and is now endorsed by musicians and performing institutions worldwide.
