KORG’s latest Brew Music, held in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, resulted in the biggest turnout yet, with hundreds of people gathering at Kings Country Brewers Collective to get their hands on KORG’s elaborate synth line, including the newly released minilogue xd, volca modular and volca drum.
“This was the first Brew Music event we hosted that aligned with a product launch and the turnout was incredible,” explains director of Tech Brands, James Sajeva. “The feedback and first reactions we captured of people demoing the new minilogue xd and volcas spoke for itself. It was certainly a great way to kick off a launch and for that matter, NAMM.”
In addition to the new gear, KORG showcased the original minilogue, the entire volca series, and a fan-favorite, the microKORG, to name a few. The event also attracted some prominent names in the music world including multi-instrumentalist Nate Wood, bass and drum duo Bangladeafy and Jessica Pimentel, star of Orange is the New Black and lead singer of Alekhine’s Gun.
Local boutique music retailer, Main Drag Music, partnered with KORG for a second time at a Brooklyn Brew Music, providing an exclusive sales bundle and discounts for attendees.
“KORG’s Brew Music is grassroots marketing made fun. As the evening progresses, people let their guards down, open up and take deeper dives into the gear. As a community-based retailer the event fits us perfectly and we always make great new connections that translate into sales – both immediate and long term,” says Karl Myers of Main Drag Music.
