Korg USA, Inc. recently attended Fear the Riff, a Brooklyn-based music festival showcasing the world’s most sought-after boutique guitar gear. Headed by Sam Ash and craft beer company Lagunitas, musicians from all over gathered at the Brooklyn Expo Center to get hands on with the latest from VOX Amplification, Blackstar Amps and Spector Basses.
In addition to providing gear for attendees to demo, VOX, Blackstar, and Spector invited some influential musicians to visit the booth and meet with fans. Night Verses bassist Nick DePirro paired the new Spector Bantam 4 nicely with Blackstar’s new Unity Bass series for his artist performance while house band leader of Conan, Jimmy Vivino, demoed the new VOX AC30 OneTwelve. Both artists attracted attendees with their playing styles and impeccable sounds of their selected gear.
“Our friends at Sam Ash, and the Fear the Riff team, put together a killer show with a great vibe, in an awesome part of New York City. It was a great opportunity for us to showcase some the latest and greatest from Vox, Blackstar and Spector to an enthusiastic community of musicians,” says director of sales at Korg USA, Inc. Matt Phillips. “The legendary Jimmy Vivino came by to support the event and put on an amazing solo performance on the new AC30S1 while Nick Depirro, a monster guitar player from the band Night Versus, put the new Blackstar Venue Mark II through its paces and totally blew our minds with his insane arsenal of riffs and tones.”
