AlphaTheta Corporation has announced the release of the new DDJ-FLX6-W from its Pioneer DJ brand. This limited-edition version of the popular DJ controller for rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro, comes in a high-quality matte white finish, bringing an eye-catching look to any DJ event, livestream or home setup.
The 4-channel DDJ-FLX6-W includes all the functions and performance features of the original controller, making it easy to mix songs from different genres, spice up sets with pro-sounding scratch effects, and hype up the audience. The controller is a Hardware Unlock device for rekordbox and unlocks the DJ performance functions in Serato DJ Pro, allowing artists to choose which free software application to run on their laptop.
With music readily available via streaming services, DJs are constantly discovering new music genres. While it might be natural for a DJ to play the sounds they love during a set, switching between musical styles can be daunting. With the DDJ-FLX6-W, artists can effortlessly change from hip-hop to house, from rock to EDM and anything in between.
The DDJ-FLX6-W has been intuitively designed to help artists perform seamlessly and energetically. The full-size jog wheels include a track position display allowing artists to manipulate the music instinctively. Beginning artists looking to sound like a pro battle DJ, can use the Jog Cutter feature to create a variety of slick scratch sounds by simply moving the jog wheel backward and forward. Other core features include Sample Scratch, allowing artists to take sampler assigned sounds and load them onto the decks, and Merge FX, enabling artists to create a dramatic build and drop with a knob turn and press.
The DDJ-FLX6-W is now available in selected regions (only available at specific retail stores in Asia Pacific and the Americas and Latin Americas – not available in EMEA regions).
To use the DDJ-FLX6-W with rekordbox, download the latest version of the software. To use the unit with Serato DJ Pro, download the latest version of the software and use the bundled vouchers for the FX Pack and Pitch ‘n Time DJ Expansion Pack to unlock those functions.
