As part of Mojotone’s “Build. Modify. Repair.” initiative, Mojotone is taking their Amp Build Workshop on the road and will be traveling to Phoenix, Arizona to the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in October, and to Nashville, Tennessee to join the MI Guitar Craft Academy in November.
Lead by Mojotone’s production and tech manager Andy Johnson, each two-day program will take customers through a classic “Tweed Style” amp build where they will learn soldering techniques, general amp circuit theory and an overview of what makes the “5E3” circuit a ubiquitous blueprint for countless amplifiers.
By the end of the two-day workshop, participants will have hand wired their very own tube amp to enjoy for years to come and have a better understanding of what makes a tube amp so special.
These two-day workshops will be held on Saturday and Sunday October 26 and 27 at Roberto-Venn, and November 16 and 17 at the MI Guitar Craft Academy campus in Nashville.
Each workshop is $999 and will include a complete Mojotone 5E3 Tweed Deluxe Style Amp Kit, two days of instruction, access to all tools and supplies necessary to complete the build and a lifetime of memories.
Space can be reserved by registering online with the appropriate location or contacting the designated point person at the desired location: Bart Applewhite (barton@roberto-venn.com) for the Phoenix event, and Michael Phifer (michaelp@mi.edu) for Nashville.
