Odisei Music, a pioneer in electronic wind instruments, will launch the world’s first electronic clarinet in a live event on December 8 via its official YouTube channel. This groundbreaking instrument, dubbed Travel Clarinet, allows musicians to practice silently using headphones, making it a versatile and portable solution for students and professionals alike.
The Travel Clarinet builds on the success of the company’s Travel Sax, launched as a Kickstarter project in 2019 and used by over 4,500 musicians across 70 countries. Odisei Music continues redefining the music experience with the Travel Clarinet, designed to maintain the traditional fingering of an acoustic clarinet while offering modern features such as MIDI integration and plug-and-play functionality. It also boasts a first in electronic wind instruments: built-in artificial intelligence that learns from the user’s movement and refines the expression sensors.
Like Travel Sax 2, Travel Clarinet boasts 50 internal sounds, a USB-C connection for MIDI out and battery charging, an internal reference speaker and a mini jack that enables players to practice silently with headphones. Users can connect a phone or tablet via Bluetooth to play backing tracks for practice.
