On March 30, Avid announced the agenda for Avid Connect 2017, the annual gathering of the Avid Customer Association (ACA).
Every year, hundreds of media industry leaders, technologists, and creative professionals come together at Avid Connect to share ideas and expand their network. This year’s Avid Connect will be held on April 22 and 23 at Wynn Las Vegas.
Some of this year’s speakers include Mohammed Abuagla (CIO/CTO of technology and operations at Al Jazeera), Fabrice Lorenceau (co-founder and head of production at LiveLike), Catherine Haight (editor of Transparent, Girls, New Girl), James Mather (sound editor of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Mission: Impossible—Rogue Nation, Me Before You), and Kabir Akhtar (editor of Arrested Development, Crazy Ex Girlfriend).
Attendees will hear a keynote speech from Avid chairman and CEO Louis Hernandez, Jr. detailing the new developments to the Avid MediaCentral® Platform, as well as discover the results of the inaugural ACA Vote. Many industry-leading companies will also showcase their newest products and technology for Avid workflows at the Avid Connect partner pavilion.
The sessions at the 2017 Avid Connect will be organized around three top-level tracks to offer something for everyone: “Transforming the Media Enterprise: Innovation in Business and Technology,” “Empowering Collaboration: The Talent, Tools, and Technology,” and “Mastering Your Craft: The Art of Cutting-edge Storytelling.”
