Pearl River Piano Group recently honored two of its North American dealers with its prestigious Premier Partner Program Dealer of the Year Award.
The designation goes to Dan Skelley of Skelley Piano which serves the greater Tacoma area in University Place, Washington, and Fritz and Jeffrey Tasch, owners of Grand Piano Haus, in Skokie, Illinois.
“Both Dan and Jeffrey epitomize the ideals of a Pear River dealer,” said Pearl River’s Global Director of Sales & Marketing Leng Tshua. “Not only do they consistently provide outstanding customer service and support, market development, and business acumen, they’re both master piano technicians which makes them the perfect ambassadors for the quality and craftsmanship of our Pearl River, Ritmüller, and Kayserburg brands.
Dan Skelley, a member of the Piano Technicians Guild since 1980, received professional technician training at the Steinway factory in New York. Prior to opening his Skelley Piano in 1999, he served as piano technician at Central Washington University, at Loyola University of the South College of Music in New Orleans, and at the New Orleans Institute for Performing Arts Piano Festival and Competition.
Fritz Tasch operated Sound Post, the largest, privately-owned musical instrument retail chain in Chicagoland, before opening Grand Piano Haus in 2003. Jeffrey joined his father, bringing his degrees in Computer Science and Business Management and a love for all musical instruments while studying with piano-building masters around the world.
Established in 1956, Pearl River Piano Group has become the largest piano manufacturer in the world with a global market share of over 30%, producing over 150,000 pianos a year under the Pearl River, Ritmüller, and Kayserburg names.
