Proel has appointed Gösta Hjelmqvist as country manager for Sweden. Hjelmqvist joins the company after nearly 20 years as a European export manager in the pro-audio industry.
His prior work focused on PA systems, wireless microphone systems, cables and accessories. Proel said that experience gives him a broad background in the product areas the company serves.
In the new role, Hjelmqvist will work to strengthen Proel’s presence and partnerships across Sweden. The company said his market knowledge and industry experience will support those efforts.

Proel said the appointment is intended to build its Swedish market relationships while drawing on Hjelmqvist’s long experience in professional audio.
