For more than a century, the sound of Steinway has carried through the storied halls of Carnegie Hall across debuts, triumphs, encores and evenings that became part of musical history. To honor this extraordinary shared legacy, Steinway & Sons has collaborated with Carnegie Hall to create a rare instrument that celebrates the artistic excellence, craftsmanship and spirit of innovation that have long united these two great institutions.

Only 50 instruments will be crafted worldwide. Each bears a numbered medallion, marking its place in an exclusive series created for those who understand that a Steinway is a vessel of memory, artistry and legacy. The piano is available in ebony and white finishes, each revealing a different expression of the instrument’s drama and refinement. Models M, Band Dare available.

Every piano comes equipped as a Spirio | r high resolution player piano capable of live performance capture and high resolution recording and playback. The system gives life to the Steinway with performances from the world’s greatest pianists in a constantly updated and growing library.

The design is inspired by the architectural grandeur of Carnegie Hall. The piano is distinguished by custom detailing that pays tribute to one of the world’s most iconic musical landmarks. Gilded artwork along the outer rim and inner lid echoes the intricate design of the Hall’s Dress Circle. The music desk takes its shape from the sweeping curves of the proscenium arch.
