SubDrum Industries LLC (Melbourne, Florida USA) is pleased to announce their participation at the upcoming 2023 NAMM Show scheduled for April 13-15 (Hall C, booth 6534) in Anaheim, CA. The company will be demonstrating its new and innovative (patent pending) line of audio subwoofers, speakers and sound systems produced from actual acoustic drums, marketed under the SubDrum® brand name.
SubDrum’s® first product, the Coffee Table Subwoofer is produced from new or vintage kick/bass drums by installing powerful 18” drivers into a reinforced opening in the drum’s resonant head. This float-in-head™ (patent pending) design prevents unwanted speaker frame vibrations from transferring to the drum’s outer shell, virtually eliminating cabinet resonance distortion. Bass frequencies are dispersed omni-directionally via the speaker’s up-firing driver and down-firing back wave. Vibration isolation and sound dispersions are further enhanced by the use of rubber risers which lift the drum off the floor and also isolate the tempered glass top, allowing for powerful full spectrum bass to permeate into the listening area. SubDrum’s® unique vibrationless design allows for incredible 3-D bass response regardless of room placement, allowing it to be used as a glass-topped coffee table with no fear of rattling your keys or your beverages!
The Company took the float-in-head™ technology a step further by transforming a pair of matching tom drums into SpeakerToms™; these are full-range speakers which include 8” proprietary SubDrum® KOAX™ drivers available in a variety of design configurations. In combination, the Coffee Table Subwoofer and full range SpeakerToms™ provide an eclectic mix of sound and design artistry which are right at home in any setting, providing a forward thinking and novel sound system for your home theater, music room, man cave or commercial music venue!
