German online retailing giant Thomann, has opened its first office in the US.
The office, in Albany, New York, will not sell into the US market but is intended as ‘boots on the ground’ to improve communication with American suppliers and stay in touch with local market trends. The new operation is headed up by Chris Smith, who was previously responsible for export sales at Samson Technologies.

Smith will give key US suppliers access to Thomann’s sales data, enabling them to refine their product and marketing strategies for the European market and keep ahead of the curve with what is about to happen in Europe.
