On Tuesday, August August 28, we got the following sad news from JAMM Distributing about the passing of John Amstader:
JAMM Distributing (originally stood for John Amstadter Music Merchandise) has served the music industry as a manufacture’s sales representative for 35 years. The company, which has started by John Amstadter, initially sold musical instruments and accessories in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri.
JAMM Distributing has always been a pioneer in the industry. Per their website, “We were among the first to embrace synthesizers, PA systems, wireless microphones, DJ gear and home recording products.” And then continued today. “JAMM Distributing continues to embrace new technology. We represent companies involved with digital audio and LED Lighting.” They even market their own bass guitar brand Sandberg. (http://jammdistributingspecsheets.com/Linecard.html)
Sadly, we lost John on August 18 having lost a lengthy battle to Parkinson’s disease.
