Vandoren has announced that they will be bringing back the same format for the 2018 NAMM VandoJam, featuring mainstays Jerry Vivino and Eric Marienthal, as well as Chicago saxophonist Chris Madsen, who will all headline the opening set.
Felix Peikli and Joe Doubleday’s Showtime Band will close the event with a late set performing tunes from America’s swing era of the 1930s.

“In all these years we’ve yet to feature one of our Chicago-based artists at NAMM,” said Michael Fenoglio, Vandoren brand manager. “Chris embodies the very best of Chicago’s jazz scene and we’re excited to have him join Eric and Jerry for the first set and jam session. Then we’ll cap it all off with a fresh take on some legendary Benny Goodman tunes – it should be blast!”
