Former Human League keyboardist Ian Burden has filmed a three-part video for Korg in which he talks about his music career pre and post Human League days.
In it, he describes some of the sound design techniques used in the days when synthesizers were for the rich, and how he experimented to create synthetic sounds with other instruments.
As well as anecdotal stories from the 80’s when The Human League were number one in the charts, he runs through some of the gear used to create the band’s sound and moves on to the present where he has recently returned to writing and creating new music.
He also talks about why Volca Keys has become so important in his current gear line-up.
