With a diverse range of levels and styles, the 2023-2024 Concert Band Music release from Wingert-Jones Publications contains new music for a variety of levels and concert programs. The publisher’s release of 39 new pieces focuses on its “Achieve Through Music” ethos, and includes educational tools for each piece, such as professional recordings streamed on all major platforms, ScoreVideos, and individual Composer Insights videos. Along with many of the beloved composers for which directors know Wingert-Jones Publications, 12 new voices were added to the composer roster for this year’s release.

“We curated this band catalog with an emphasis on the basics: great music at all grade levels for any concert experience!” explains Tyler Arcari, Director of Music Production and Editing. “The release features works at higher grade levels, staying true to the publisher’s history, while at the same time has wonderful selections for younger levels.  We are excited to present a full and balanced catalog for all grade levels this year.”

New additions to this year’s catalog are works from composers and arrangers Jon Bubbett, John Dupuis, Gary Fagan, Chris Ferguson, Clifton Jones, Laurie Lafferty, James Meredith, Jason K. Nitsch, William Owens, Anthony Susi, George Sweet and Jorge L. Vargas.  They are joined by the following popular composers who are returning for the 2023-24 release: Tyler Arcari, John R. Bourgeois, Andrew Boysen, Jr., Chris Campbell, Carol Brittin Chambers, Larry Clark, Mark Lortz, Gene Milford, Steve Parsons, John M. Pasternak, John Prescott, Matthew R. Putnam, Van B. Ragsdale, Travis J. Weller and Gary D. Ziek.

The catalog has been organized to clearly delineate grade levels with the following color-coded series names to help directors select the most appropriate music for their ensembles: First Achievement (.5), Early Achievement (1), Achievement (1.5), Achievement Plus (2-2.5), Concert (3-3.5) and Symphonic (4 and up). These series categories, consistently and carefully edited, help directors efficiently select the most appropriate music for their ensembles. Each score, and its accompanying parts, are meticulously-edited and beautifully set for ease of reading and accessibility.

Wingert-Jones Publications’ 2023-2024 Concert Band music is available from music retailers and from the publisher.  Wingert-Jones Concert Band Select Dealers for 2023-2024 are Art’s Music Shop, J.W. Pepper & Son, Midwest Sheet Music, Music and Arts, Pender’s Music Co., Poppler’s Music, Quinlan and Fabish and Stanton’s Sheet Music.
