Yamaha has announced that the CL StageMix and QL StageMix iPad applications, which are popular with CL and QL series digital mixing console users, are now available with expanded features and capabilities.
With Version 7, both CL StageMix and QL StageMix acquire a new custom meter area and more flexible fader area layout capability. The input patching function added in Version 6 has been expanded in Version 7 to include a multi-channel input patch function that allows multiple consecutive input channels to be patched as a group. Thanks to ongoing collaboration between Shure and Yamaha since 2013, control and monitoring support has also been added for Shure wireless receivers that are not Dante compatible (AXT400, QLXD4, and ULXD4).
“We are always working to offer innovations and refinements that satisfy our customers’ needs,” says Rob Fuhlbrugge, senior director of engineering and product development at Shure. “By providing CL and QL StageMix control and monitoring capability for Shure network wireless products, including the Axient, QLXD4, and ULXD4 receivers, the benefits of those products become available to a wider spectrum of users.”

Version 7 of the CL StageMix and QL StageMix applications can be downloaded from the App Store free of charge.
