Gibson has announced that President and CEO Cesar Gueikian will step down from his executive position, effective July 31, 2026. Following his departure, Gueikian will transition into a new capacity as a Strategic Advisor to the Board of Directors and continue to serve as a Global Artist Ambassador for the brand.

Anne Rohosy, Gibson’s current Chief Commercial Officer, has been appointed Interim President and CEO while the Board of Directors conducts a comprehensive search for a permanent successor.

During his tenure, Gueikian was widely credited with revitalizing the historic brand by prioritizing instrument quality, strengthening artist relationships, and modernizing global operations. Prominent Gibson artists, including Slash, have praised his leadership for successfully returning the company’s focus to a “guitars-first” mentality.

The Board expressed gratitude for Gueikian’s transformative impact and voiced full confidence in Rohosy’s ability to guide the company smoothly through this transition period.
