Bourns, Inc. today announced the expanded standard resistance values for its PDB182-GTRB Series 17 mm blend-balance guitar potentiometers. The series now spans 10 kΩ to 1 MΩ, adding resistance options for tone shaping, signal blending, and balance control on the same mechanical layout. The PDB182-GTRB Series is used in electric guitars, amplifiers, mixers, synthesizers, and other audio equipment.

Its dual-gang, center-detent design delivers repeatable blend and balance adjustment in a 17 mm package. The new resistance codes give instrument builders and audio OEMs a wider set of tonal configurations within the same series. Because the expanded values share the same mechanical envelope and mounting dimensions as existing PDB182-GTRB configurations, designers can evaluate new resistance options in current PCB layouts and enclosures with no additional qualification of fit or form. Standard Mand Ntaper options are available across the full resistance range. Design Features.
