A compact Coda Audio HOPS point source system has been installed in a new 100-seat auditorium located beneath the courtyard of the Reply headquarters in Turin, Italy. According to Installation magazine, the audio solution was selected to deliver high sound pressure levels and clarity for diverse events while maintaining a low visual profile within the restored De Sonnaz barracks.

Installation reports that the system configuration includes three HOPS7-Pro units forming a left-center-right array, supported by four HOPS5 stage monitors and four D5-Cube frontfill speakers. Low-frequency reproduction is managed by a pair of U12 subwoofers, with two U15 models available for increased power demands. The setup utilizes three LINUS6.4D Dante-enabled amplifiers for digital control and networking.

To preserve the room’s aesthetics designed by ACPV Architects, the main speakers and monitors are concealed within a black slot in the false ceiling, while frontfills retract into the structure when not in use. Amplifier parameters are managed via CODA’s LINUS Q-SYS plug-in, allowing real-time recall as the space reconfigures through motorized transformations.

Technology integrator Decima 1948 led the multimedia ecosystem design alongside Cavea Engineering. Enzo Trovato, chief executive of Decima 1948, told Installation that the choice of Coda Audio was driven by the system’s extraordinary power-to-size ratio, which enabled high-quality sound without compromising the architectural vision. David Webster, global head of sales and marketing at Coda Audio, stated that the project successfully combines architectural elegance with high-end audio performance.
