Native Instruments and producer A. G. Cook have jointly introduced a new synthesiser called Super*Saw, according to Attack Magazine. The instrument reimagines Cook’s signature layered supersaw sound design approaches for music production.
Super*Saw draws inspiration from Cook’s work on tracks by artists such as Charli xcx, Caroline Polachek, Beyoncé, and Oklou. The development process for the synthesiser spanned two years, resulting in a tool built around his distinct sonic style.
The synthesiser’s architecture features dual oscillator banks capable of generating a maximum of 16 sawtooth waves each. It also incorporates a four-corner X/Y Morpher, designed to facilitate seamless transitions between different patch settings.
Super*Saw is compatible with Native Instruments’ Komplete Kontrol keyboards and Maschine hardware. The synthesiser is available for purchase at a price of $99 or €99.
