Electronic music group Rüfüs Du Sol is currently on a highly successful tour, dubbed Inhale/Exhale, which is being recognized as a landmark event in the genre. The expansive run features performances across numerous regions, including Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Brazil, Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States, according to LSi Online.
Joel Stanley, who has served as production manager for the band for the past five years, oversees the complex logistics of the tour. The sound design for the live shows was guided by the artistic preferences of the performers, reflecting a commitment to a specific sonic vision. Cam Trewin has been responsible for mixing the band's sound for nearly ten years. LSi Online reports that the tour will conclude with performances in Canada this September.
Clair Global’s Britannia Row Productions and Eighth Day Sound divisions are collaborating to manage the tour’s audio infrastructure. The team strives to recreate the nuances of the group’s studio recordings during their live shows, aiming for a faithful representation of their music. Audio routing throughout the production utilizes Dante technology, and the sound system incorporates L-Acoustics K1 and K2 loudspeakers. A Yamaha Rivage PM5 console is also employed.
Benny Masterton is in charge of the global audio package for the Inhale/Exhale tour, while monitor engineer James Gueness produces twelve individual monitor mixes for the performers. The tour’s technical setup also includes Shure ADX2FD dual-frequency RF microphones.
